As part of its 30-year anniversary celebrations, Def Jam Records showcased a number of stars at its “Def Jam 30” event this past Tuesday at SXSW, including Reservoir artist 2 Chainz, GOOD Music rapper Pusha T, West Coast rapper YG, and others from the Def Jam roster. The event took place at Stubbs BBQ, and was sponsored by Media Temple, a California headquartered tech company. Chainz performed a number of his hits, including Reservoir catalog tracks “Birthday Song” and “I’m Different,” and even brought Schoolboy Q onstage to perform the song “What They Want” off Q’s Billboard chart-topping LP, Oxymoron.
