2 Chainz has released a new music video for his song “Crack,” another soon-to-be hit from his #1 album, Based On A T.R.U. Story. 

“Crack” is one of Chainz’ more straightforwardly ‘urban’ tracks, referencing drugs and rough neighborhoods as opposed to the luxurious “Gucci store” lifestyle the rapper enjoys now. “Crack’s” rough-around-the-edges feel makes it seem as though it could appear alongside the songs on 2 Chainz’ older mixtapes, which spawned the now-famous tracks “Spend It” and “Riot” (the latter of which also made it onto the B.O.A.T.S. album).  Certain stairwell-filmed scenes in the “Crack” video are certainly reminiscent of the video for “Spend It;” “Crack” comes out looking like the refined, better-outfitted version of its mixtape-born big brother.
