Alt-rock quartet Fall Out Boy turned to fellow Island Def Jam act 2 Chainz to bring some hip-hop flair to the remix of their latest hit, called, in true, verbose Fall Out Boy fashion, “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up).”
The remix creates an expert cross-section for fans of both artists, keeping the integrity of Fall Out Boy’s original composition intact while jazzing up the beat with classic hip-hop touches and making room for several verses from Chainz.
Hearing 2 Chainz and Fall Out Boy on a track together perhaps wasn’t the bigget surprise you could imagine–Fall Out Boy hinted around the idea by featuring Chainz in the video for the original single, released in February.
