Eric Benet, the smooth R&B vet who dropped a new album, The One, last June, recently released a remix of the single “News For You”, featuring Reservoir writer 2 Chainz. The new mix samples the Lenny Kravitz song “It Ain’t Over Till It’s Over,” and introduces 2 Chainz around 2:56, where the rapper spits verses like “You might need a doctor if you’re sick and tired/And I might need a towel cause I’m spending the night” over a simple, rhythmic beat that ties the whole remix together.

Chainz and Benet first connected at the 2013 MusiCares Person of the Year event, where Reservoir celebrated honoree Bruce Springsteen and other artists who contribute to society with both musical and charitable gifts.
